There is a season with more appointments than ever, crossing borders to reach more countries and be able to offer the best padel in the world to the spectators. The return after an atypical year
The 2020 season was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic. A historical event that brought consequences never before seen in the world of sport. The World Padel Tour 2020 season had started in March. Barely a tournament could be held before the start of the pandemic. As a result of this, the season had to be suspended entirely, leaving thousands of empty seats and the absence of professionals on the slopes. However, professional padel is ready to come to life again. The official calendar is already defined with the largest match offering in all of history. The season with the most World Padel Tour events in history
The maximum padel circuit is displayed to present the longest season in history. It will be the year with the most World Padel Tour events. In total, there will be 26 official tests, divided into 13 Open tests, 5 Master tests, 6 Challenger events and finally the grand Final Master in the city of Madrid. Also, the circuit will be present in 6 different countries, to continue taking the sport of rackets to all corners of the world. The countries chosen to delight with the best padel in the world are Spain, Italy, Sweden, Argentina, Portugal and Mexico.
All venues and dates of the WPT 2021
Now, let’s go into detail about all the dates that were presented in the World Padel Tour 2021 calendar.
- The season starts on April 5 in Madrid. With an Open that will last until the 11th of the same month.
- Later, the professionals travel to Alicante to celebrate the Open from April 19 to 25.
- The city of Vigo will once again host an Open in the month of May, from 3 to 9.
- Cantabria celebrates an Open for the first time in its history, from May 24 to 30.
- The first Master of the year will be held in Marbella, from June 7 to 13.
- Subsequently, the first Challenger will be held in Albacete, from June 14 to 20.
- One of the most anticipated Masters will be held from June 21 to 27, in Valladolid.
- Afterwards, we will see the Valencia Open again, from July 5 to 11.
- One more Challenger arrives at Puerto de Santa María, from July 12 to 18.
- Las Rozas will have an Open again, from July 19 to 25.
- Then comes one of the most successful Open, the one in Malaga, from August 2 to 8.
- La Nucía will look for new talents at the Challenger, to be held from August 9 to 15.
- From August 11 to 14, one of the special events of this season will take place, an exhibition tournament in the city of Acapulco, Mexico.
- Later, Calanda Challenger arrives from August 23 to 29.
- Portugal is present again on the calendar, with the Cascais Master, from August 30 to September 5.
- Afterwards, the professionals travel to Italy to celebrate the Sardegna Open, from September 6 to 12.
- From September 13 to 19, one of the most anticipated events will take place, the Master of Barcelona.
- The legendary Lugo Open will be held again from September 20 to 26.
- Segovia Challenger with an expected date of September 27 to October 3.
- The long-awaited Menorca Open will be held from October 4 to 10.
- In mid-October, the Valencia Challenger will be held, from 11 to 17.
- Later, and to end the month of October, the Cordoba Open will be held.
- In the month of November, the best players will travel to Swedish lands, to play the Swedish Open, from 8 to 14.
- In that same month, the best in the world will meet in South America to celebrate one of the most anticipated events, the Master of Buenos Aires.
- For the second time, after the success received, an Open will be held in Mexico, from November 29 to December 5.
- The season ends with the grand Final Master in Madrid, from December 16 to 19.
